HOW TO ARRIVE TO TUPIZA
FROM LA PAZ
By Bus: There is daily buses and depart 7:30 pm or 8:00 pm and arrive around 6:30 am or 7:00 am. Some companies are: Expreso Tupiza, Trans Illimani, Panamericana Bus, Trans del Sur 1. Please ask cama, leito or Suite bus. The best is Expreso Tupiza, you can book online in this site: https://www.ticketsbolivia.com/, you have to choose departure from La Paz and destination Villazon (Border with Argentina), the last stop or city is Villazon, Tupiza is one stop before. Suite bus generally costs around 37 USD, Cama bus costos around 27 USD, and Normal bus costs around 15 USD.
By Plane + Bus: You can take the flight from La Paz to Uyuni. At this website you can buy your flight ticket: https://www.boa.bo/ and then a bus a Tupiza or a shared taxi called rapiditos in Bolivia. Sometimes when we have a tours finishing the trip that day, we can go to the bus station in Uyuni and pick you up at 2pm and drive you to Tupiza (arriving around 5 – 6 pm), this transfer costs 15 USD.
FROM VILLAZON
By Bus: There is daily buses at 10:00 am, 2:00 pm and 6:00 pm and arrive around 6:30 am or 7:00 am. Some companies are: ATL, Trans Segovia, Expreso Tupiza, Trans Illimani, Panamericana Bus, Trans del Sur 1. It generally costs like 3 USD per ticket. You can not book online, only in the front desk.
By Shared Van or Rapiditos: You have to go the former bus station in Villazon, and you can take a shared taxi (Called in Bolivia : "Rapiditos"), they depart almost every half an hour, they need to have a group of 6 pax and they depart, to join 6 people generally takes like half an hour, they are going to complete the car, do not worry about it. The ticket generally costs like 3-4 USD. You can not book online, only in the front desk.
By Private Car: We can go to pick you up as a private transfer. It costs 50 USD for the car, they can go from 1 to 5 PAX.
FROM POTOSI
By Bus: There is daily buses at 8:00 am, 12:00 pm and 9:00 pm. It takes 5 hrs. Some companies are: Expreso Tupiza, Oglobo, Panamericana Bus. It generally costs like 8-10 USD per ticket. You can not book online, only in the front desk.
By Shared Van or Rapiditos: You have to go the former bus station in Potosí, and you can take a shared taxi (Called in Bolivia : "Rapiditos"), they depart as soon as they have a complete group of 6 pax, to join 6 people generally takes like 2 - 3 hours, they are going to complete the car, do not worry about it. The ticket generally costs like 12 USD.
By Private Car: We can go to pick you up as a private transfer. It costs 200 USD for the car, they can go from 1 to 5 PAX.
FROM SUCRE
By Bus: There is daily buses at 6:00 pm and 9:00 pm. It takes 8 hrs. Some companies are: 6 de Octubre Bus, El Inca Bus. It generally costs like 15-20 USD per ticket. You can book online: https://www.ticketsbolivia.com/, If you want to travel during day time, you need to travel from Sucre to Potosi, and then from Potosi to Tupiza.
By Private Car: We can go to pick you up as a private transfer. It costs 300 USD for the car, they can go from 1 to 5 PAX.
FROM TARIJA
By Bus: There is daily buses at 9:00 am and 9:00 pm. It takes 5 hrs. Some companies are: Trans Juarez, Trans SAMA, and Narvaez Bus. It generally costs like 8 - 12 USD per ticket. You can book online: https://www.ticketsbolivia.com/.
